Chambhargad fort is one of the unknown forts in Raigad District. The fort lies in Satara, which was built to watch the area of Satara town. Chambhargad fort is said to be known as one of the oldest fort in Raigad district.

History of Chambhargad Fort 

Chambhargad fort is the hill fort which lies in Satara of Raigad district. The fort of Chambhargad was built to keep the watch on the surrounding area. On the fort there are two water tanks. Looking at the condition of the tank it seems that the fort is too old. From the top of the fort other forts are also seen such as Lingana, Kaldurg (कालदुर्ग) and Songad.
